Strengths: Excellent price and operating time for battery size.

Weaknesses: None thus far.

Review: I have tried two other "after market" generic batteries that supposedly are made more my camcorder and even though the first one fit my camera the usable time was less than 30 minutes. The second battery had a higher running time but would not lock into the camcorder so it had to be returned. The NP-98 Sony battery works as advertised and has given great performance.

Strengths: Takes a charge quickly. Only thing that's compatible with my Canon camera.

Weaknesses: Short life compared to other batteries. Not a great value for $60 -- and you'll need at least two.

Review: This battery lasts a bit longer than tha BP-511 it replaces, but only powers my Canon Powershot Pro 1 for 2-3 hours before pooping out. Other camera batteries last twice this long. Well built, but very expensive for mediocre performance.
